"Dedicated to promoting public awareness and interest in maintaining a clean beautiful environment."

KMCB has been an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. since 1994. KMCB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the above Mission Statement. Currently our major programs are as follows.

Located at the Madisonville Convenience Center, this classroom has been most effective in teaching all aspects of litter prevention, recycling, beautification, soil conservation and water quality preservation to students from city and county schools. The focus for WES is second and fourth grades, but all grades can be included. The WES programs are also taken to the schools to reach as many students as possible.

Under this program the local organizations, cities, clubs, churches, etc., are offered materials to help keep their event litter free. We provide trash cans, trash bags and literature for their event attendees.

These are as required and include litter cleanups at rivers, parks, roadsides and other areas where needed. Beautification projects for key areas of the county are also undertaken as the need arises.

The message on what is required to Keep Monroe County Beautiful is taken to business, industry and community organizations/clubs through arranged speaking engagements. Comprehensive information, as well as printed brochure regarding the need for litter prevention and recycling, is provided to the attendees.

The KMCB  office and Waste Education Station are  located at  292 Industrial Park Road, Madisonville, TN 37354.
